On the back of allergy awareness week, we thought it might be useful to share a few upcoming allergy events in London. We are heading along to most of these, and so hope to see you there.
Where: The Yard, Hackney Wick – May 7th
Our first event is this vegan brunch club. they are offering a feast of either savoury or sweet with surprise starters, accompanied by two cocktails. They can above all cater for any dietary requirements. We will be heading along because it looks like perfect Sunday morning brunch.
Where: East London, Spitalfields Market – May 29th
The Free From Festival is a series of food events that focus on people that are living their life free from gluten, sugar or dairy. Therefore, it’s a great opportunity to sample delicious free-from food products with a focus on small businesses. There’s also a large selection of gluten-free alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks if you fancy a tipple. The event looks like a great bank holiday day out, and we will be heading along.
Check out our review of the Free From Festival here.
Where: Olympia, London – 7-9th July
These events are the world’s largest celebration of free-from food, drink and lifestyle products. The show is suitable for those with food allergies, eczema or coeliac disease. The events focus on free-from foods to try and buy. You also have the opportunity to try new allergy free skin and hair care.
There are some cooking classes from Dove’s Farm that you will even be able to participate in too. They’ll also include demonstrations by celebrity chefs from the River Cottage and former MasterChef participants highlighting the best of free-from cooking. There’s also a learning centre with lots of talks you can attend with consultant experts to get up to speed on the latest developments on allergy issues.
If you would like to meet us in person at the show; drop us a line. We will be heading along to the Bloggers Corner on Saturday.
Where: 1 Harrington Street, 8th July
Finally, we get to Livia’s Kitchen. Livia’s Kitchen puts twists on afternoon tea favourites to cater for vegan, gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free diets, catering to people with allergies and intolerance. Food includes finger sandwiches, scones, cookies, and cake it seems like a tasty spread! Unfortunately, we checked with Livia’s Kitchen, and this event does not cater for nut allergies.
